Position Postdoctoral Researcher

Responsibilities
  1. 1. To engage in academic research. At present, the Center for Science and Human Imagination has two main focuses: first, the brain science of human imagination; second, the development of contemporary Chinese science fiction as well as world science fiction.
  2. 2. To carry out teaching activities. The postdoc is required to be able to offer at least two courses independently during their stay in-station. First, to offer regular courses based on classroom face-to-face interaction in the above fields. Second, to make use of the existing equipment such as ERP to develop and offer new courses inside the laboratory.

Compensation It is two-year full-time job.
  1. 1. The annual salary of a postdoc will be not be less than 335,000 RMB yuan, including 150,000 yuan (before tax) from Guangdong Province and 60,000 yuan (after tax) from Shenzhen City. Particularly outstanding one can apply for President Excellent Postdoc, with an annual salary of 507,000 yuan (including subsidies from Guangdong Province and Shenzhen City).
  2. 2. Social insurance and housing provident fund shall be paid in accordance with the relevant regulations of Shenzhen City. Benefits are paid according to the teaching and administrative staff standards. A postdoc researcher who does not use the dormitory on campus or do not rely on the school to use the public rental housing in Shenzhen City can apply for housing subsidies, which are about 30,000 yuan per year.
  3. 3. According to the specific research performance of a postdoc, the Center and research groups may endow award.
  4. 4. The research group provides research support and will assist postdoctoral to apply for (as the person in charge) the Chinese Postdoctoral Science Foundation, National Natural Science Foundation, and other research projects at all levels in Guangdong Province and Shenzhen City.

Degree requirement The applicant must have obtained a doctoral degree within 3 years, or will obtain by this fall semester.

Remarks Age limit: an applicant should be a maximum 35 years old.
